Announcing BIDE Market!
Ok, I’m pretty excited to share some pretty big client news that I’ve been hinting at for a while now…
A few months ago, when Parisa and I first met for coffee, she told me about her dreams of creating her very own artisan market. As she explained to me, she had been a part of a lot of markets for Town & Anchor and, although it was always been something she enjoyed, the waste, the unnecessary plastic, and the lack of curation for brands sharing the same values and mission, left her wondering if there was a better way.
And so, after much planning and collaboration, BIDE Market was born. BIDE Market is a fully sustainable, plastic-free, vegan, and cruelty-free shopping experience founded and curated by Town & Anchor that will take place at Exchange312 in Wicker Park. Founded on a desire to create bigger impact and fill a void in the market, Parisa created BIDE as a way to provide likeminded vendors and conscious consumers a different kind of shopping experience. Each season, BIDE will bring a curated market as well as sought-after speakers and presentations in an entirely sustainable venue.
It goes without saying that this is a labor of love and a group effort. We have some amazing community collaborators on board with us already… Of course, the event is taking place at Exchange312 and the incredible team there is helping us bring this to life. We’re also working with The Glossary, a platform and community dedicated to connecting, supporting and building spaces for honest conversation among women, to create our brand presence.
There is obviously a lot more news to come and I’ll be sharing so much more in the coming weeks – we can’t wait! In the meantime, if you are a sustainable brand that would like to take part in the first market or know someone that is, let me know! We’re looking for vendors and sponsors who are making intentional choices, creating plastic-free products, making without animal products, and are interested in conscious consumption.
