MBPR is Growing!
I’m thrilled to announce the newest client in the MBPR growing family: Lena Rose Beauty!
For those who don’t know, Lena Rose is the first green beauty boutique and spa in Chicago, focusing on vegan, non-toxic, “farm-to-facial” services and products that are 100% safe for your body.
I first came across Lena Rose a few years ago when I started to pay much closer attention to the products I was putting in my body and on my skin. Like so many people out there, I was unaware of the toxins I was exposing myself to everyday and, after my diagnosis, was looking for anything and everything I could do to be proactive about my health. Beauty is a big part of my daily self-care regimen and, when I looked closer at the products I was using, I was truly shocked at the chemicals I was exposing my body to without knowing it.
Luckily, that’s where Lena Rose steps in. If you’re in the Chicago area, you can pop into their beautiful location in Ravenswood Manor for both spa treatments (facials, waxing, sugaring, manicures/pedicures, etc.) as well as shop their assortment of retail products that are all organic, all-natural, vegan and non-toxic cosmetics, skin, hair and nail products, baby care,
herbal supplements, CBD products, aromatherapy and a variety of lifestyle, zero-waste items and home products. Regardless of location, you can find Lena Rose’s curated selection of products online and available to ship nationwide.
Lena Rose is owned by Jenny Duranski and, as a fellow entrepreneur, let me just say this lady is such an inspiration. Jenny shared her story with me and her dreams for Lena Rose – named after her daughter – and how she hopes Lena Rose will contribute to a safer future for her little girl. And if that wasn’t enough, Jenny is also an advocate for change on a national scale, and has even lobbied on Capitol Hill on behalf of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics.
