What I'm Thankful For

This time of year, I get pretty sentimental…so, at the risk of being super cliché, I thought I would do a little blog post to highlight what I’m most thankful for this holiday season.

Having a Job I love – Oh come on, you know I have to start with this one 😊 This past year has been an incredible growth year for me. I’ve always loved doing PR but in the past, I never felt fully aligned with the kind of work I wanted to be doing. This year, I took the leap to go it alone and build my business around clients that I wanted to work with and businesses doing good in the world. I feel so lucky to have such amazing clients and that it’s my job to tell their story to the world. To those clients reading this…you inspire me so freakin’ much. I know we’ve only scratched the surface on what we can accomplish together.

Good Health – This one is a close second as I truly believe good health is something that’s so taken for granted day to day. For me, the past few years really shook up my perspective (in a good way). It’s easy to not know what you have until it’s gone. Now I know that each and every day that I’m healthy is a gift and try my hardest not to waste a second of it.

My Tribe – I honestly could not have accomplished anything in my life without the amazing friends and family (i.e. all of YOU reading this). Without getting too sappy on here, I’ve been through a lot in the past few years. Of course no one expects a cancer diagnosis themselves, but none of you expected it either and when it happened, I couldn’t believe the outpouring of love and support from all these people in my life. The caregiver journey is really hard and, while I haven’t experienced it personally, I can emphasize with the feelings of helplessness it brings. I’m grateful every day to have had such an amazing support system who showed up for me when I needed it most, and I really hope that one day I can return the favor.

At the end of the day, I’m incredibly grateful for this life and all the people who are a part of it. Life gets hectic, we’re all super stressed out doing all the things, but it’s a good time to take a breath (and some CBD) and be thankful for what we have.
