Client Happenings: Preview of Exchange 312

It’s been an exciting week for MBPR!
I remember my first meeting with the team at ESP Presents…our half hour meeting quickly turned into a 2 hour conversation and tour of what would eventually become Exchange. Now, let me be clear, it was essentially a pile of rocks but, as Matt and Sarah toured me around the space, their energy and excitement filled the huge empty room and I could see their vision for what this space would become.
As the work began, we started planning efforts and ideas for the preview. That’s the thing about working with entrepreneurs: once the ideas start, it’s like a boulder rolling down a hill that just keeps picking up speed. And, although there was an incredible amount of work ahead, there was no hesitation that it could be done. It’s that kind of enthusiasm and passion that makes this team some of my favorite humans and makes being part of their dream that much more special.
Overall, the events went off without a hitch. In two nights, we previewed the space to a select group of approximately 50 stakeholders, clients, media, friends and family.
Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails, personal tours of the space and an amazing 3 course meal from the team at Blue Plate Chicago. The energy in the room was electric complete with happy tears, anecdotes about the beginning days of ESP and a peek into the future of Exchange.
Exchange will officially open to the public at the end of the month and I couldn’t be more excited. In addition to hosting events, Exchange 312 will also be home to a hand-selected, highly curated network of creatives. A new kind of micro-coworking space, The Collective will be a community made up of entrepreneurs in a variety of fields who all share a collective goal of amplifying creativity and building community.
